Lorna Dane

Lorna Dane
<p >I was born and raised in Scotland. I moved South and after a brief stay in Derbyshire, I lived in London for 12 years before relocating with work to the Camberley area. My husband and sons play a lot of sport and in particular, the game of rugby! It's catching. Until recently I spent most of my time outside work either watching it, planning it, washing up after it or bossing teenagers around Camberley Rugby Club as a squad manager.THE BUSINESS - HOW IT ALL BEGAN
I started my career in International Recruitment, then moved to the City to work for a Merchant Bank (in HR) and prior to founding the Dane Partnership Ltd in early 2006, I spent many years as an HR Manager within the Aerospace & Defence sectors. I rarely felt the service provided by most HR, Training and Recruitment consultancies was commensurate with the fees they charged. Having formed this view, and as an employer, having watched the sad decline in service levels and best practices (in particular nbsp;in respect of those working within the recruitment sector), I set out to make customers feel a whole lot happier when paying our invoice! And the rest as they say, is history.
WHAT NOW?
I am proud of the Dane Partnership's achievements and testimonials, and these have been earned by delivering above and beyond the customer expectations. Having grown the business, it's great fun to work with more like-minded HR, Training & Recruitment consultants who share the Dane Partnership ethos and our mutual and unreserved passion for doing a really great job. Collectively, we deliver professional, bespoke services without the designer price tag.....and we always keep our promises.

Having originally joined the Dane Partnership back in 2010 as a Graduate Trainee (learning on the job, whilst studying for my CIPD). I re-joined the business in 2015 as HR and Recruitment Manager, with responsibility for providing Recruitment and HR support to our clients, alongside business development.
I am a CIPD qualified HR professional with experience in both generalist and specialist HR roles, including multi-site HR Management, Recruitment and Learning and Development (both design and delivery).
I have a passion for all things HR and am motivated by building effective and collaborative relationships to support and enable business goals, whether that’s through recruiting great people, implementing effective development solutions or providing generalist HR support.
During my time away form the Dane Partnership I worked for a FTSE 100 retailer, initially as a HR Graduate but quickly progressing to HR Manager and Management Capability Trainer.
Having broadened my HR and commercial experience I was delighted to have the opportunity return to the Dane Partnership to apply my skills and knowledge. I enjoy working with clients across an exciting range of sectors and continuing the ethos of quality driven service for both clients and candidates.

I joined the Dane Partnership in August 2015 after graduating from the University of Winchester; achieving a 1st class degree classification and winning the British Psychological Society Undergraduate Award 2015 for the Highest Overall score for BSc Psychology Programme. Whilst studying for my degree, I learnt about the many practical applications of Psychology within the workplace including personnel selection, assessment methods and relationship management. As such, I decided to pursue a career within HR and recruitment.
On a day to day basis I manage the office, including the business banking, maintain relationships with clients and candidates as well as learning how to manage my own roles and conduct effective interviews. I have undergone further training with REC, and have successfully qualified in Level 3 Certificate of Recruitment Practice - demonstrating my determination to learn and provide the highest standards within recruitment.

Bazil

Trainee
Bazil
Our most recent and a very welcome addition to the Dane Partnership team. Bazil is learning fast, keen to make a great first impression and despite a few early (and embarrassing moments at interview) he has settled in and now follows our Health, Safety and Hygiene policy to the letter! Having joined us at just 7 weeks of age, this picture shows him at 12 weeks. He already expresses an interest in HR and his meeting, greeting and general people skills show exceptional promise. We hope Bazil will follow in his great uncle’s footsteps (Max), and be the loyal, entertaining and ‘calming’ influence in our busy, vibrant office.
Max

Max - Retired
Max had 16.5 years experience in recruitment, a loyal team member since the Dane Partnership began. With no formal qualification, Max had a tireless enthusiasm for meeting and greeting visitors and calming pre-interview nerves, which made him a unique and valued member of our team. Sadly due to failing health, Max has moved on…… he is greatly missed, but was always and will ever remain a much loved and unforgettable part of our lives.

I recently joined the Dane Partnership on a part-time basis, having graduated from the University of Leeds with a BA (Hons) in Economics and Spanish in July 2017. As the newest member of the team, it has been a delight learning from everyone in the office, including Bazil and all of his worldly knowledge. My career in Recruitment will be short-lived, as I will be with the Dane Partnership until Christmas 2017. Come January 2018, I shall be relocating to London to undertake a graduate training programme which will see me become a Chartered Accountant while working in the Audit department of an accountancy firm.
I am a keen linguist and have spent a year living and working in Barcelona which was undeniably a fantastic experience and opened my eyes to pursuing a career in accountancy. I am a keen Gunners fan (which can be very trying at times), and am an avid musician, having played the guitar since the age of 12.

Graduate Trainee
Indigo Hogg
In 2017, I graduated from Newcastle University with a BA (Hons) in Linguistics, and in December, I joined the team at Dane Partnership Ltd. As part of my degree, I studied the sociology of language, including language relating to ethnicity, age, social class, accent and gender in professional settings. My studies, combined with my experience of working for a theatrical agency, have given me a passion for working with people, and finding solutions. I look forward to learning more about all the businesses we support, and getting to know the people we have placed and will place with them.
In my spare time, you'll find me at the theatre directing, or working towards the publication of my undergraduate thesis.
