Engineering Supervisor

 £35,000 - £40,000 (negotiable dependent upon experience) + benefits

 

The world's leading innovator and manufacturer in their specialist sector with 100+ years of history and experience in the industry are seeking to recruit an Engineering Supervisor.

 

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for reliability and capability plant equipment - ensuring production obligations are met and key performance indicators of Safety, Quality, Cost and Output are maximised. The Engineering Supervisor will provide support and expertise to the production process.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering supervision/support and expertise as directed
  • Carry out fault diagnosis  and provide rapid response to breakdown situations within the maintained areas
  • Ensure that safe working conditions are maintained at all times
  • Ensure efficient communication and effective shift handovers
  • Assist with improvement methods, reducing plant downtime and increasing plant efficiencies within the areas of responsibility - utilising modern improvement techniques and updates
  • Plan/implement and ensure Planned Maintenance activities are being carried out on all equipment
  • Ensure that your engineering team have the correct standards of husbandry and housekeeping to a high standard in line with the 5’s audit process
  • Ensure that all engineering plants within the areas are correctly serviced, maintained and calibrated in conjunction with the Planned Maintenance System
  • Provide daily management information
  • Supervising, leading and motivating employees

Engineering Supervisor Applicant Requirements:

  • Degree (or HND/HNC) qualified in Engineering or similar
  • Minimum of 5 years experience within a manufacturing engineer environment
  • Supervisory and/or team management experience essential
  • Ability to prioritise and work on own initiative
  • Able to organise improvements
  • Eager, ambitious, committed, self starter
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Package:

  • Salary £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (negotiable dependent on experience)
  • Benefits including quarterly bonuses, pension scheme, life insurance
  • 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
