Service Support Manager - Soft Services – Facilities Management – Specialist Cleaning

 We provide high quality, professional facilities management and building support soft services (mainly specialist cleaning) in London and the South East to some of the most prestigious clients in well known/landmark buildings. Due to continued growth and expansion, we are now looking to appoint a Service Support Manager to be based in Reading.

Reporting to the Account Manager, this role will include direct reports including cleaning supervisors and front line operatives. This is a role that offers exceptional longer term opportunities in regards to further career development.

Role Outline

Taking full responsibility and accountability for managing the delivery of cleaning and support services to site, ensuring all services provided are delivered to the agreed service standard in an efficient, professional and customer focussed manner.

  • Assess all cleaning and support services carried out by operatives to ensure high standards of work are undertaken and maintained
  • Carry out routine Quality Control Checks and ensure action points are addressed and completed
  • Maintain adequate supplies of cleaning materials by ensuring required stock is ordered on time and stock levels are closely monitored on a regular basis and wastage minimised
  • Team management and development to maximise efficiency, promoting best practice, training to maximise performance and promotion of H&S and best methods of working in a diverse workforce
  • Maintain regular contact with the Account Manager, updating them of any issues on site with regards to client related matters and on site staffing
  • Accurate, timely timesheet submissions to HR/payroll
  • Drive, promote and deliver company processes and standards to your team
  • Ensure requests from clients including those in onsite client communication books and on helpdesk/service desk tasks are addressed and completed in a timely manner

The Candidate:

  • Experience in a similar role within the soft services/cleaning sector with proven ability to supervisor teams
  • Confident decision maker, line manager, team player
  • Good communication skills and personal presentation
  • IOSH qualification – desirable
  • Good MS Office skills

Salary and Benefits: £22,000 - £24,000 dependent on experience. Benefits include 28 days annual leave, NEST pension and some excellent employee scheme and incentives (childcare vouchers, cycle to work, employee discounts, health club etc…)

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, early and late shifts (flexibility to work unsocial hours required)
