What people say about us...

"Lorna is the most professional person I know in the recruitment industry. All her candidates are thoroughly interviewed and briefed before their CVs are sent to the client. She is able to talk about their strengths and weakness and fit for the role coherently and comprehensively. I have no idea where she finds so many well qualified candidates from. All of this, and she's great fun too."

Managing Director & Founding Partner

Lorna DaneLorna Dane

I was born and raised in Scotland. I moved South and after a brief stay in Derbyshire, I lived in London for 12 years before relocating with work to the Camberley area.  My husband and sons play a lot of sport and in particular, the game of rugby!  It's catching. To this end, I spend most of my time outside work either watching it, planning it, washing up after it and bossing teenagers around Camberley Rugby Club where I manage the current 2010/2011 under 17s team.

THE BUSINESSS - HOW IT ALL BEGAN

I started my career in International Recruitment, then moved to the City to work for a Merchant Bank (in HR) and prior to founding the Dane Partnership in early 2006, I spent many years as an HR Manager within the Aerospace & Defence sectors. I rarely felt the service provided by most HR, Training and Recruitment consultancies was commensurate with the fees they charged.  Having formed this view, and as an employer, having watched the sad decline in service levels and best practices (in particular in respect of those working within the recruitment sector), I set out to make customers feel a whole lot happier when paying our invoice!  And the rest as they say, is history.

WHAT NOW?

I am proud of the Dane Partnership's achievements and testimonials, and these have been earned by delivering above and beyond the customer expectations.  Having grown the business, it's great fun to work with more like-minded HR, Training & Recruitment consultants who share the Dane Partnership ethos and our mutual and unreserved passion for doing a really great job.  Collectively, we deliver professional, bespoke services without the designer price tag.....and we always keep our promises.

Training Consultant

Lesley Leather

Having come from a successful career in recruitment and training, as a business owner, I was astonished by the lack of affordable tailored training available to SMEs, hence the creation of my own company, Tailored Training Solutions.  For some time now, I have worked with Lorna at the Dane Partnership, assisting with training and development and the delivery of bespoke courses to individuals, groups and companies.  The main areas of training I cover are confidence building; interview skills and techniques; communication and presentation skills, but the remit can be as diverse and varied as the people we meet and businesses with which we work.

The unique selling point we offer is practical, personal, bespoke training which delivers recognisable and measurable results with an excellent return on time, effort and financial investment.

My qualifications include City & Guilds Teaching Certificate and NLP Practitioner Certificate.  I love what I do, and when I read the course feedback and testimonials, clearly those I work with can see that too!

Management Development Consultant

Denise Chatterton

Denise held a number of training and development roles in major international blue-chip organisations and these included Robert Bosch Limited, BMW (GB) Limited and Safeway Plc.

Graduate Trainee

Natalie Sanders

I am Graduate with a BSc in Applied Psychology having completed my studies at Cardiff University in May 2010. My ultimate goal is to pursue a career in HR and as such, working for the Dane Partnership is an ideal opportunity to enjoy the hands-on experience of HR, Training and Recruitment, enabling me  to build on the skills I have developed during the course of my education and previous employment.

I joined the Dane Partnership in June.  Part of my role is to  provide support to the managing director and in addition I carry out duties that range from searches, research, recruitment administration, website management and advertising tasks.  No two days are the same and it's really rewarding to be part of something that makes a positive impact, making such a difference to those we work with.
